After living in their lakeside home for many years, a small but dangerous plauge hits the clans. Many cats are lost. But after many attempts at breeding, the clans are back to life. But the unexpected happens. A category 4 hurricane hits the area where the cats live. Their territorry is destroyed, and they seek answers from Starclan. Then a group of cats gets the message, telling about how their new home is far away. The cats move onward, to a far away forest where there are no twolegs, kittypets or thunderpaths. They all seem safe, but something is going on between the clans...

.::.They have all been secretly living among us. Looking like everyone else, they are anything but uncommon. Possibly your best friend, boyfriend or girlfriend, or even your dog. Their minds are one of brilliance and their faces are exceptionally beautiful. Flawless. The only purpose in their life, the only goal of their entire existence, their only chance at survival is keeping the secret. Their lifespan is eternal, unless they can control themselves and they can choose if they want the changing to stop. Mortal or Immortal? As they learn the power of discipline, they have a better chance. Though this takes some time. The wolves and humans are oblivious of their interlacing lives. However the secret is hard to keep to yourself, you cannot control it until you gain the experience. What happens if someone slips? If their control breaks loose? What if ... the code is broken? Now it is time for our story to unfold, another storm for us to break through. I wish you luck, my friend.::.
Hello there literate roleplayers. Are you tired of bland Light vs. Dark plots, equine RPGs that all seem the same, and plots that don't affect your character?
Well we've got a surprise for you. At The Secret it's not just about good and evil. In fact, good and evil don't have a lot to do with things. No matter whose side you're on, you can be as nice or as cruel as you see fit. But if you live in the north you'd better be tough if you want to stay alive. Here's a summary of what kinds of characters you can make:
Southern equines: The Resistance. You like freedom and would rather be left to your own devices. Conquering is not really your thing, you just want to be left alone to start a herd. Weakland equines: The Captives. You keep your head down and hope you don't get beaten up too often. You dream of escaping to the south, but know you'll be killed for trying. Mostly mares live here, though there is a small number of stallions. They usually get beaten down the most so they can't rebel. Northern equines: Tartarus's Legions. You work for the mastermind, Tartarus, the one who blew the news about the object of power out into the open. You answer to his captain Atlas, and you spend your time fighting, bullying mares in the Weaklands, and training colts for the army. If you have any spare time you can gather a small herd. Haven of Hesperides: The Secret Keepers. You know not hate nor greed, and you live within the walls of the Haven. You may leave to explore, but other equines seem so different to you. You live in peace and philosophy, seeking knowledge and enlightenment. But you know what is brewing, and the battle will come to your doorstep even though they cannot break down the door.

What's going on... ?
There was peace once, though by now it is but a distant memory in the minds of those old enough to remember. There was order and cohesion, and nothing to fear. The Keepers of Hesperides stayed within their walled Haven, and none disrupted their peace. There was always a rumor that an object of unspeakable power lay hidden within those great walls, but in time the rumor grew dull with age. But now a young stallion, maddened with greed, is gathering all the information he can about this mysterious object of celestial power. Flanked by the powerful drafts of the northern lands, he is murdering and taking prisoners left and right. There is only a handful of southern herds that stand against him, led by the mysterious Theseus. If they are vanquished, the Keepers will be on their own. Chaos and uncertainty abound. How much longer can the forces of reason hold off this madman?

F O R U M | R U L E S :
In this world you are allowed one character, but you are allowed more than one account. Please be reasonable, and do not create characters that are flawless and all of extremely high status. Like all things, you start from the lower levels, and work your way up.
To name your Character, please be as original as you can. First names as well as last are appreciated, but not necessary. If your character has a nickname, or a pet name you prefer, you may add that too. Please do not use screen names, or numbers in your characters names.
C H A R A C T E R S | and | R O L E - P L A Y :
If you have multiple characters they can interact with each other, as well as other characters of course. The point of this RPG is to interact and have fun, but please stay within reason, when interacting with another of your characters; you cannot know everything about them, its like meeting someone in the real world, so please be sensible.
No God Modding: No ultra powerful moves, attacks, dodging everything, and hybrids who are stronger than everyone. This is not fair and it is a big 'No' here. We all have weaknesses, and cant always avoid everything, they may be extremely powerful, but they aren't indestructible.
No Meta Gaming: Your characters CANNOT know everything! Please act normal, learning something new here and there. If there's some big tragedy that no one knows about, you cant just suddenly know what happened and tell everyone, you have to find out, in order to know. Unless you're some kind of genius who can be in more than once place at once (Which isn't possible) you can't know everything in the game.
Auto Hits: When sparring or PVPing another player you cant say "The beast ripped [insert name here]'s throat out." RP isn't set in stone, you have to make it so that your partner, or other people you are Role Playing with can work with it. i.e "The beast aimed at the most tender area of the body, the throat, and hopefully, it wouldn't miss" Give the other person time to react. If they are God Modding, then report them to an admin, and let them plead their case.
Player VS Player (PVP): These are to be requested first. Other players may say no to this if they wish, but please respect their answer. Don't harass them just to get them to fight with you.
Absences: If you are going away for a long period of time, please let the Admin know so that we don't delete your character. You have to let us know about these things.
Adult Content:
Violence, Gore, Sexual References, Reference to drugs and Profanity. Its going to happen here. But we do ask that if you start a thread, put a warning sign somewhere on the main title or thread itself, just so that other players that don't appreciate that sort of thing know. This board is NOT suggested for people under the age of 14. This RPG is for an older youth audience.

Please respect the game rules, and when Role Playing, stay in character, we'd appreciate it greatly. You may talk out of character in the Chat box at the bottom of the Forum, or in the Out of Character boards.
Please respect other players. There should be no fights and argument between players, if you have a problem or an opinion, talk to an Admin about it and we'll try to solve it and come up with a solution for it. If there are any fights, they are to be in character. If you have a problem, just talk it out, don't cause any violence or major problems or we will be forced to ban you.
Please, Respect the Staff and Admin! This is one of the MOST Important rules, seeing as the Staff and Admin made the site for your enjoyment. They are the people who made the designs, came up with all the work and put it into action, the least you can do is respect them. If you have any questions or suggestions, hey just ask!
Please note that only the admin may create events and meetings, please respect this rule! The staff have special ways to run meetings and events. Besides, wouldn't you like to find out the little surprises they have in store for you?
Staff are also the ONLY ones who can approve registrations/character profiles.
